Recently, I was reminded of how important the little details can be. We were starting two large projects (one in Brandon, Manitoba and the other on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia) and needed to order a new supply of belts, harnesses, PPE, helmets and other gear. Part of every worker kit includes high-visibility shirts and vests with reflective tape to help prevent accidents.
As an Abbotsford-based company, it was important to support a local manufacturer as much as possible. I tasked our marketing department with finding the highest quality clothing at reasonable prices (controlling budgets in another concern in the construction industry, of course). As expected, they came back to me with new supplier that met our criteria.

As a first-time client, I was thoroughly impressed with the gear we purchased! It’s well made with very tough materials with resistant stitching that shows lots of attention to detail. We purchased 100% cotton orange high-visibility t-shirts (model BK6978) and orange poly/cotton surveyor’s vest with eight pockets (model BK305ORG) that will be able to put up with a lot of wear and tear. Our logo and web address were screen printed on each item to help promote our company and an embroidered patch on the surveyor’s vests adds a touch of professionalism when dealing with clients and the public.
